Everything you need to know about Dyke* March
Demo call
Call to the 11th Hamburg Dyke March on Friday, July 31, 2026*
This year, we invite all dykes* and allies once again: to the 11th Dyke* March in Hamburg – for more lesbian* visibility.
The Dyke* March provides lesbians* of all orientations, ages, nationalities, and hair lengths with a platform to represent themselves and their political demands. It is open to all trans, inter, cis, and non-binary dykes* who feel they belong to the lesbian* spectrum – explicitly including BIPoC, trans femmes, trans mascs, bi*, pan*, a-spec*, inter*, and non-binary people. Friends and allies who support our causes and want to advocate for lesbian* visibility are most welcome.
The term Dyke* originates from the English language and, just like „queer,“ was once a slur that we have reclaimed. It stands for empowerment and self-acceptance!
Our lived realities are as diverse as our political concerns. We are thrilled when exactly this vibrant and militant diversity is carried onto the streets at the Hamburg Dyke* March – join in, present your demands, present yourselves – be diverse, loud, visible, in solidarity – and have fun! Bring slogans, signs, chants, and instruments so that the 11th Hamburg Dyke* March becomes a great experience for everyone.
So-called hate crimes against lesbians* and queers continue to increase dramatically. Assaults are a daily occurrence in times when the right-wing shift is growing, poverty is rising, pensions are not enough to live on, working conditions are precarious, and the political struggle against those who think differently – including queers – as well as misogyny and lesbophobia, is increasing dramatically. Therefore, the Dyke* March is also a political statement, a protest march against rigid, inhumane politics.
Through multiple discrimination – including sexism and lesbophobia – and the refusal to take us and our concerns seriously, lesbians* are made invisible. The right-wing shift worsens this invisibility and threatens our existence. Violence against lesbians*, women, and female-read individuals is being instrumentalised.
The expression of the right-wing shift in politics and society includes an ultra-conservative image of the family based on heteronormativity and the exclusion of any diversity. However:
We will not be intimidated, we remain resilient, and we join the motto of this year’s Hamburg Pride (CSD): Queer Solidarity. Stand Up – for a future without fear!
Be and stay in solidarity, do not let yourselves be divided – in the fight against the right.
Lesbian* visibility is important! Visibility of our life situations, lesbian* struggles, and societal hurdles. We need braver/safer spaces, lesbian-funded projects, lesbian networking, lesbian-sensitive education and healthcare systems, and lesbian community!
And not just for some of us, but for everyone.
Lesbians* should be visible at every stage of life and in their diverse life situations, with all their diversity and power, their topics and interests, and their contributions to culture and history.
Therefore: come to the Dyke* March. Fight for an open, diverse, fair society that includes lesbians* and makes them visible.
Stay United!
The conclusion of the Dyke* March will take place at Spielbudenplatz on the Reeperbahn – there will also be some time to relax at the end!

Meet the organization team
We have been organizing the Dyke* March Hamburg for ten years. We have already experienced a lot, had great speeches and danced wonderfully to the music. We always have our political message in mind – but also a lot of fun. We were quickly on our feet when it came to challenges and found solutions.
